Tapered Roller Bearings Inch Series

Tapered roller inch bearings are rolling element bearings that can support axial loads as well as radial loads. The load capacity can be increased or decreased depending on the contact angle is increased or decreased.

Tapper roller bearing inch series are characterized by longer rating life and operating life, due to higher basic dynamic load ratings compared to the previous standard.

They are well organized at supporting forces and ensure an exact and rigid shaft guidance system due to the large effective distance between the bearings. They are adjustable and are therefore easy to fit.

This higher performance results from the use of state-of-the-art manufacturing techniques and developed internal constructions. They lead to preferable and more uniform surfaces and contact areas and thus optimized load distribution in the bearing.

However, increasing productivity in the industry means that there is also an increasing demand for tapered roller inch bearings. They should last a long time, generate as little friction as possible, and certainly be easy to maintain.

Components of Tapered Roller Bearing

Tapered roller bearing consists of two basic components: the cup and the cone. The cup is the external ring and is a different component. The cone is made of the internal ring, roller, and cage.

These are totally different from metric taper roller bearing; the inner ring with roller and cages assembly and the outer ring have separate designations.

Materials

Chrome Steel SAE52100/100Cr6/GCr15

Chrome Steel is the most generally used material for bearings. It has a little low noise characteristic than stainless steel. In addition, its hardness means it has high load capacity than stainless steel bearings. This means that the life rates for chrome steel bearings are high than for stainless steel bearings making them a preferable choice for most applications.
